Tina Sciabica is skilled at strengthening and scaling nonprofit organizations focused on community-led development, education, and gender equality. Her background includes partnering with corporate leaders, activists and social impact investors to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy. During the last 25 years she has gained expertise in board development, impact evaluation, fundraising, donor stewardship, grants management, business development, strategic planning, partnership development, cross-cultural team-building, staff capacity building, and program design.

Tina recently served for more than a decade as Executive Director of READ Global, an international nonprofit organization that partners with rural communities in Nepal, India and Bhutan to establish community-owned and managed READ Centers that serve as safe spaces for empowerment of women and girls and as platforms for a variety of community-driven initiatives leading to resiliency, social cohesion, and prosperity. Under her leadership, READ Global received the Barry and Marie Lipman Family Prize administered by the Wharton School and received significant funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to invest in capacity-building and sustainability of the READ country offices. During her tenure, READ Global was also honored onstage by President Clinton during the CGI Annual Member Gathering for its commitment to empower women.

Prior to her time at READ, Tina served as Deputy Director of Social Venture Network (now Social Venture Circle), a membership network of hundreds of corporate CEOs, impact investors and nonprofit leaders working together to build a more just, sustainable and inclusive economy using business as a force for positive social change. Before joining SVN, Tina served as one of the first chapter leaders for Room to Read, an international nonprofit organization bringing the lifelong gift of education to children around the globe with a focus on girls education. She drove Room to Read's Chicago fundraising efforts for five years and visited their work in South and Southeast Asia. Tina started her career as a corporate litigator in Chicago and later founded a legal recruiting firm assisting Chicago's top law firms with their lateral hiring needs.

Tina received a BS in Finance from University of Illinois and her law degree from Indiana University School of Law - Bloomington.
